Terms of Use

Use of the app
AnimalEar lets you record, upload, inspect, and analyze animal audio. You are responsible for using the app lawfully and respectfully, including following local rules for wildlife, property access, and recording.
AI and analysis limits
The app provides candidate labels and acoustic evidence. Results may be incomplete, uncertain, or wrong. AnimalEar does not provide veterinary, safety, legal, conservation, or emergency advice.
Your recordings and content
You keep ownership of recordings and images you upload. You grant AnimalEar the permission needed to store, process, display, analyze, and transmit that content so the app can provide its features.
If you choose to submit a public contribution, you are responsible for having the rights and permission to share that content.
Plans and billing
Advanced Analysis token packs are optional one-time purchases through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. The store shows the price and included token amount before you confirm. Token packs are not subscriptions and do not renew automatically.
Refund requests are handled under the applicable store’s rules and applicable law. A completed token purchase is delivered to the AnimalEar account used for the purchase and cannot be transferred between accounts.
Tokens are consumed when Advanced Analysis is requested, have no cash value, and do not expire. Deleting an AnimalEar account removes its associated token balance; it does not create a refund or transfer entitlement.
Field safety
Do not put yourself, other people, pets, or wildlife at risk to capture audio. Do not approach dangerous animals or trespass to improve a recording.
Changes
AnimalEar is in active development. Features, analysis behavior, storage behavior, and availability may change as the app moves through beta testing.
