Data Deletion
Last updated July 29, 2026
Request deletion
In AnimalEar, open Settings, choose Delete account, type DELETE, and confirm. This immediately starts permanent deletion of your sign-in and account-linked cloud data.
If you cannot access the app, use the developer contact listed in the App Store or Google Play listing. Include the account email if you linked one. Do not send recordings unless support asks for them.
What deletion covers
- Your AnimalEar authentication account and account-linked saved recordings.
- Uploaded reference images linked to those recordings.
- Saved analysis outputs, candidate labels, and related recording metadata.
- Field-session device records linked to your account.
- AnimalEar’s account link to a verified App Store or Google Play entitlement.
Recordings saved only on your device are not stored in AnimalEar's cloud and are not erased by account deletion.
Deleting an AnimalEar account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it separately in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
Retention
Some operational logs, backups, security records, app-store records, and records required for legal or fraud-prevention purposes may remain for a limited period.
